Carpenter’s Corner Hosts Parking Lot Party

Carpenter’s Corner will host a Parking Lot Party at 1715 Rural Street in Rockford on Sunday, August 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. featuring live music, free face painting and games for kids, and TNT Funnel Cake Food Truck. The event will showcase a limited selection of thrift items for sale, and pop-up previews of the Children’s Giving Library and Cycles For Change – two programs that will eventually be offered within the thrift store.

Event attendees will have the opportunity to meet Carpenter’s Corner staff and learn more about the mission of the new thrift store.

Carpenter’s Corner Store Manager, Brent Schaer, is looking forward to welcoming the public. “The Parking Lot Party is an event designed around community engagement to give our neighbors a preview of what Carpenter’s Corner will look like. We are excited to get to know the people in the neighborhood and show them a bit of what they can expect when we open our doors,” Schaer said.

The event is free to the public and all activities will take place outside.
