Count My Blessings Bracelets
In a society that focuses much on “wants,” it touches our hearts at Carpenter’s Place to see how grateful our homeless guests are for their very few blessings… the basics such as a friendly greeting and a meal to eat. Their grateful spirits remind us to count our blessings everyday and inspired our “Count My Blessings” bracelet. It’s a gentle reminder to have a thankful heart and count our blessings bead by bead.
The bracelets are hand-beaded by Carpenter’s Place guests and interns. When the bracelets are knotted, a prayer is said for both the future owner of the bracelet and the women in housing program.
Bracelets come in a variety of sizes and colors with an assortment of colored crosses.
The bracelet is packaged in a lovely gift bag with a card explaining the project.
Wooden bracelets are $10 each; Brazilian wood, semi-precious stone and glass beaded bracelets are $25 each, which includes tax.
Under Angel Wings Bracelets and Necklaces
Angel wings have long been a symbol of God’s loving care for his people. Psalm 91:4 uses imagery of God covering us “with his feathers and under his wings” where we find refuge.
These bracelets and necklaces are a reminder of God’s care for all his children as well as our calling to show hospitality to strangers in need… as we serve the homeless, we never know when we are entertaining angels without knowing it!
These bracelets come in glass and semi-precious stone beads in a variety of colors and have an angel’s wing charm. They make a wonderful gift and are $25 each. The necklaces have a silk ribbon with a silver, gold or bronze angel wing charm, and they are $30 each.
Due to a generous donor, 100% of the sales go directly to the women’s housing program. To order, email KayL@carpentersplace.org or call (815) 964-4105 ext 211.
